A Career Defined by Success

Legendary NBA figure Pat Riley has achieved remarkable success as both a player and an executive. Throughout his illustrious career, he has amassed an impressive collection of nine NBA Finals rings, making him the only person in NBA history to have won at least one ring at all three levels.

As a Player

Riley's playing career spanned from 1967 to 1980. During his time with the Los Angeles Lakers, he captured an NBA championship in 1972.

As a Coach

Riley's coaching career took off in 1981 when he became head coach of the Lakers. Under his guidance, the team won four NBA championships in 1982, 1985, 1987, and 1988. After leaving the Lakers, Riley joined the Miami Heat as head coach in 1995 and won another NBA championship in 2006.
